Some of you may know that when I'm not blogging, I can often be found working in schools.  I recently finished the first portion of a graduate program in Education and will hopefully be teaching high school full time in the fall!  When J.Crew came out with this amazing Teach For America tee I had to have it.  For those of you who may not know, Teach For America is a non-profit organization aiming to eliminate educational inequity; they do so by placing recent college graduates and other professionals to teach for at least 2 years in low-income cities throughout the United States (learn more here!).  The t-shirt is just $32.50 at jcrew.com and 100% of the proceeds are donated to Teach For America; toss one in your shopping cart and remember that it's for a good cause!

The Glitterati embraced the boonies of Rhode Island on Sunday for an early dinner (which turned into a normal dinner due to an extensive wait) at one of our guilty-pleasure, favorite restaurants. Yes, the only menu options are rolls, salad, fries, shells with sauce, and chicken. It comes all at once and it keeps on coming after that... but it is more than delicious! Needless to say, we had to take advantage of a photo op.

If you can't tell that I am freezing in these photos, I am.  The wind was blowing like crazy and all I wanted to do was bundle back up in my winter parka but I didn't want to hide this top!  After eyeing it on the J.Crew Factory website for a few weeks, I picked it up on super sale at my local outlet shortly after Christmas. Unfortunately, it's not longer available but knowing J.Crew something similar will pop up soon, maybe in a summer combination?  One can dream...

Revenge

With Revenge on hiatus until February 10th we are missing out on our weekly dose of Emily Thorne's antics.  Along with missing out on her path to revenge, we are missing out on seeing her and the rest of the impeccably dressed cast's wardrobes. Emily and Victoria are both notorious for wearing beautiful, simple dresses that we, too, wish we could frolic around the Hampton's in all day. Instead we'll have to settle for emulating Revenge at the office or maybe a summer wedding and research has led us to ASOS.com for a plethora of Revenge-like dresses, shop away!

Casual Weekend

If I'm not in yoga pants and a zip-up hoodie on the weekends, then I'm definitely in something still casual, like this. Summer and winter both have their own ideal casual options and the leggings/vest combo is definitely my go-to for the winter months. Plus I just love to see people's reactions to these crazy leggings when I'm out running my errands.

We noticed a simple and refreshing trend at the Golden Globes last Sunday of classic black and variations of white. With very minimal jewelry and simple hair styles, these dresses all have their own oomph to make these ladies stand out. Summer in Winter

A lot of these items I wore mostly in the spring/summer/fall months but with the warm weather visiting us for a short time I took advantage of it. I can pretty much pair this faux fur vest with just about anything in my closet to make me look more wintery and feel like a hibernating bear.

Cape Cod

Cape Cod or "The Cape" as I often call it is quite possibly one of my favorite places.  I've made frequent trips to the Cape with family and friends my whole life; some trips last a mere 24 hours while others have lasted up to three straight weeks!  For those of you who have been to the Cape, you know there are great shops, amazing restaurants, and beautiful beaches; when J.Crew debuted this scarf depicting a map of Cape Cod, I just knew I had to have it.  Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

White Out

About one month ago I was enamored with winter whites, posting a casual winter white look here in Off White.  Judging by this post, I am still just as into winter whites; this time I'm using the same pants (J.Crew cream colored Toothpick Cord) to create a more formal look. On top of my love of these pants is my firm belief that you can never, ever go wrong with a crisp white oxford. Furthermore, Ally and I both wore bright colored pieces this week (here and here) and white items are certainly another way to go when breaking away from the dark clothing we associate with winter.
