Athletic tees have been popping up on the runway here and there, matched with some unexpected pieces to dress them up or dress them down. The Glitterati love to mix casual and dressy items, as well as even adopt the "male-inspired" looks like boyfriend jeans and baseball tees. There's also not just ordinary baseball tees out there. You can find them with sequins and sparkle (like the Oscar de la Renta one above), cool collars, pockets, patterns, prints... and the list is ongoing.

How Ashley Wears It

Once I saw this post on How Sydney Wears summer maxi skirts, I'd been dying to wear one with a denim jacket.  This look isn't quite the same as How Sydney Wears it but after a long and unsuccessful search for a brightly colored maxi skirt, I settled for a simple black one which I know would go with everything.

National Pink Day

I love the colors pink and blue in almost any form but neon pink and a navy blue are by far my favorite combination. When I saw these pants on super sale last week at J. Crew I just had to have them. I wore them this past Saturday on what was National Pink Day, according to my Lilly Pulitzer Agenda (and if anyone knows pink, it's her)!

Tall Girl Problems

I have to say, it's not an easy thing to find a romper that fits comfortably when you are tall. I finally found one that worked out great especially in the hot weather, with a bandeau underneath to keep it loose. These headbands have also been a key item for keeping those fly aways out of my face (they were 5 for $1... can't beat that!).

The flowy shorts and high-waisted anything are both trends that I have yet to master. I bought these shorts on sale and felt like they worked great with a casual crop top to balance it out. They've also come in handy during this momentary heat wave that makes me very thankful I work in an air conditioned office.

Summer Wedding Look: Night

Today is part 2 of the summer wedding look: the night version. (Yesterday we were decked out for a summer day wedding). Night weddings are traditionally dressier but black, metallic, color... anything goes. Get jazzy and have fun with accessories. We opted for short cocktail dresses and a little bit of sparkle, but nothing that would outshine the bride! And of course, don't forget the dancing shoes.

With summer wedding season upon us we thought we'd do a little duo wedding post!  Today we are showing you what we would wear to a daytime wedding and tomorrow you can check back for an evening wedding.  Daytime in the summer is often much warmer than the nights and with weddings outside you want to keep cool.  We both opted for light colors and floral prints along with some classic pearl accessories and wedges (easy for walking on grass!).

In the spirit of Father's Day, my sister and I golfed with our parents in a little two-on-two match. Needless to say my sister and dad won but my theory is that if I can't play well, I should still look cute doing it.  Michelle and I are both wearing white golf tanks, not-so-cute golf shoes, and pants from The GAP.  Michelle is wearing the broken-in straight kakhis in neon pink and I am in the slim cropped pant in red.  Both of our pants are comfy, cute, and clearly very functional; we highly recommend them.  Hope you all had a wonderful Father's Day (and weekend), too!

Weekend Wear

I didn't plan on following the boyfriend jean trend but they always look comfy, so when I was poking around shopping last weekend I picked up this pair on sale.  I have to say, they are even comfier than they look! I paired them with a loose t-shirt but threw on wedges and some jewlery to keep my look a little girly.  I also tried out mint green nail polish for the first time and it too was a success, a new go-to color in my book.

Fresh Floral

I originally thought I was taking a risk, but I couldn't be more in love with these leggings that I just purchased. I can't wait to wear them casually on the weekends with a tank and flip flops. But for being in a pretty comfortable outfit for my self-declared "Casual Tuesday", I felt pretty spunky!

Here's Michelle in a skirt that is often paired with a solid black top for a more sophisticated look but in the spirit of summer she dressed it down.  She chose to go for a fun and laid back look with a neon tank, flat sandals, a loose braid, and the summer staple denim jacket!

When you're stuck in the office on a hot summer day, nothing is more comfortable than linen.  These pants paired with a simple white t-shirt kept me comfy and cool on a humid May day last week.  I love the combination of white and tan; it's always classic and the gold accessories and opaque white nails spice it up just enough!
