Hope you all had a nice Memorial Day weekend, especially since the sun gods decided to grace us with their presence for the first unofficial weekend of summer! Amelia and I had a family cookout and kept it cool and casual with some comfy dresses since we knew we were going to be in the sun. Keeping the accessories minimal was an added bonus for the rounds of badminton and trampoline jumping with the kids.

Getting ready for Memorial Day with some patriotic colors! This weather is confusing and hard to keep up with... rain, sun, rain, sun and ultra humid. It's hard to decide if you're hot or cold so some extra layers never hurt. A patterned tee and some cute flats keep the pencil skirt more casual and comfortable for a day in the office.

Product Review: Eucerin Lotion

Product Review: Eucerin Body and Face Lotion

Eucerin Skincare Products was kind enough to send us some samples of their Daily Protection Body and Face Lotions for Skin Cancer Awareness Month.  Each of these products is lightweight, fragrance free, and contains 15 SPF.  We tend to shy away from body lotions that contain SPF but with summer just around the corner both the face and body lotions proved to be pleasant surprises. When applying the lotions you can tell they contain sunscreen but once fully applied your skin feels hydrated with no trace of that sunscreen feeling.  Ashley is heading to the beach for Memorial Day and these lotions will definitely be in her bag. They are perfect product for outdoor activities such as lunch or shopping (both of which she hopes to do this weekend), moisturizing and protecting at the same time.  Check out eucerinus.com for more information or head on over to your local drugstore and buy some!

Apparently New England has decided the sun should only come out on the weekends and while this is fine by me, it doesn't make dressing during the week very fun.  Yesterday fell back into the 60's again and forced me to don some not-so-summer gear. I love the look of denim on denim but my favorite part of this whole look is my white nails.  I was really skeptical about opaque white nails but seeing them on   a friend changed my mind and I'm currently obsessed!

I was told I looked like a pirate in this outfit... nautical is more of what I was going for at the time, but I can deal. I found these jeans while shopping in Chicago a few weeks ago and I am in love. The flare is such a nice change from the skinny jeans and works great now that its wedge season! Speaking of which, this weekend couldn't have been any more beautiful. Bring on the summer weather!

This army green dress from J. Crew is one of my favorites.  It's comfortable and goes with just about anything... especially my new Mini Brompton Hobo from J. Crew.  I love metallic silvers and golds; you've all probably seen me post my silver bag here, here, and here.  When I saw this one at J. Crew I knew I had to have it, be prepared to see a lot more of it!

So Crisp

This almost all white outfit just felt so crisp and clean to me. It was fun to start with a blank slate and then start adding pops of color here and there. You really can't go wrong with a classic button up and some white jeans!

Yesterday, my sister and I took advantage of the gorgeous Mother's Day weather to wear some of our favorite Lilly Pulitzer dresses!  We love the bright colors and prints of Lilly's clothes; they are a perfect summer go-to.  We wore these dresses to a delicious brunch then headed out for pedicures and spent some of the afternoon outside in the sun.  I Hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend, too!
