I picked this jacket up from J.Crew during winter 2010 at an absolutely silly sale price. I saw it styled in the December 2010 Style Guide (formally, catalog) and for some reason just really liked it. The fact that it is shaped similarly to a pea coat makes it seem classic yet the buffalo plaid print gives it a much different feel. It wouldn't necessarily say it is my style but I have gotten lots of use out of it, especially around the holidays! As we know, trends always return and two years later, J.Crew is still showcasing buffalo plaid with this similar Nili Lotan Jacket for J.Crew and this Perfect Shirt in Buffalo.

I'm pretty sure plaid is essential for winter!

Thank you! I definitely recommend them, they are my favorite pair of boots I've ever owned (and will eventually buy them in another color)!
DeleteHey Ashley,
ReplyDeleteWhat size is your buffalo plaid jacket? I found one that is a size 2 and was wondering if that would be too big or too small for me. I'm usually an XS, 5'0 110 lbs. What do you think?
Hi! Sorry for the delay, I've been out of town and didn't have the jacket with me! It is a size 2, I think a size 2 would be good for you; I am often an XS too. Mine is fairly tailored and fitted but I can still layer whatever I need to underneath. Hope this helps! :)
